Introduction
Your new Custer Products “Lite-it” light bar is designed with high impact PC lenses and individual 3-Watt LED modules. Each module is individually sealed to protect from moisture. Your light bar comes with a plug and play controller. Take the controller out of the box and mount it in the cab of your work truck or tow truck and plug the controller harness into the light bar harness. Hook up 12V power to the RED wire on the controller and the BLACK wire is your ground.
Working voltage: 12vdc
Current: 15A Max.
Your new light bar has a separate cable for your Stop/Tail/Turn lights. This cable has 4 wires in it. There is NO ground wire in this cable; your ground is made through the light bar controller hookup. Your wires are used as follows:
- BLACK is for your Tail Lights / Running Lights
- RED with YELLOW STRIPE is for your Brake lights
- RED with WHITE STRIPE is for your Right Turn Signal
- RED is for your Left Turn Signal
Your light bar can be permanently mounted to the vehicle, or it can be mounted with the included gutter clamps. Be careful when mounting to avoid scratching the vehicle.
NOTE: Your light bar has a microcomputer chip control. If your light bar ever goes into a loop or does not operate properly, you can reset the light bar by unplugging the power from the vehicle to the light bar for 10 seconds and then plugging the light bar back in.
Operation
Slide Control Lever has 4 Positions:
1: Off
2: Light bar operation front side only
3: Light bar operation back side only
4: Light bar complete 360 degree operation
4 individual illuminated switches:
Switch #1 is a momentary switch when you push up, this changes through more than 40 different flash patterns. After you find your pattern, you can push the switch into the down position and this will cut the illumination of the light bar 25% for night time operation.
Switch #2 is for your alley lights on the ends of the light bar. Push the switch up and it turns on the white LED alley lights. Push the switch down and your alley lights will flash for extra strobe action when not in use as work lights.
Switch #3 is for your forward facing take down light. Push the switch up and it turns on your white LED take down lights. Push the switch down and your take down lights will flash for extra strobe action when not used as work lights.
Switch #4 Push switch to up position and the corner lights will come on steady as marker lights with no flashing action.
Round 4 Position Switch:
This switch is for the traffic control mode on the rear of the light bar only.
Position 1 is OFF
Position 2 is for traffic control right to left (arrow stick)
Position 3 is for traffic control left to right (arrow stick)
Position 4 is for traffic control center-out (arrow stick)
Each traffic control mode has 7 different patterns too! When you choose your traffic control left or right, also push the pattern control momentary switch #1 and you can through different patterns for your arrow stick.
You can run the traffic control and keep the rest of the light bar running in flash mode at the same time.
